    Can feel a bit like a club with the volume. Food is decent but what you can expect from a chain.

    Typical Jack's atmosphere. Great service at the bar and a variety of TVs for sports viewing. If you want a table Friday nigh ensure to make a reservation.

    A good address in St John's for watching sports. It can be a little noisy if it is crowded. The atmosphere is easy, the waitress are funny and the food is great.

    Our Anniversary supper. Appetizer was reheated and partly soggy. Main course came out way too fast after being served our appetizers. I ordered medium rare steak, it was stringy and not enjoyable. Felt rushed by waitress, she actually commented that we looked stuffed and she'll bring us our bill lol. Was seated and out in just over a half hour. This was our first and last experience at Jack Astor's in St. John's. Disappointing indeed.

    The service at Jack Astor's is always good. But personally I find that the food can be hit or miss (but never actually bad) and I find the atmosphere to overwhelming and for the restaurant to be loud, both in appearance and by the amount of people that go (especially in evenings). However it is a Bar and Grill and it seems to be a fun and popular hang out place. It is not my personal favourite but that has everything to do with personal preference.
