    Really enjoyed the Battery Cafe. More in line with cafes in North America than most places in St. John's. Good coffee, good pastries, barista with an attitude and good lighting.

    After a morning spent exploring Signal Hill, this cafe hit the spot! The staff are all so friendly, made the experience so very satisfying (the grilled cheese was pretty good too!!!)

    I went all the way to Newfoundland and enjoyed Burlington's own Detour coffee down the hill from our Air&B at the cozy nook of Battery Cafe. Friendly staff shared where and when to find the best local entertainment. Never felt rushed even at their closing hour.

    The best coffee, personal touch, quiet atmosphere with windows all one side ans parking. Not to mention the delicious gluten free chocolate tort I just savoured as slowly as I could.

    Fantastic coffee and a ton of homemade snacks to choose from. Very in touch with the community and has a outside doggy dish for dogs to drink from. Staff is super friendly and they even have live music sometimes. Wish they were open year round (seasonal)
